I offer one-to-one person centred counselling from my quiet, calm therapy room in central Lancaster. I am passionate about the potential for counselling to help us through many events and stages of our lives. Major life events, such as grief, illness, bereavement and relationship issues can be deeply unsettling, and counselling can help us to find a way through and back to a sense of stability and contentment. I also believe that counselling can be enormously helpful in times when we just feel a bit unclear, uncertain or unhappy.
Counselling does not have to follow a dramatic or traumatic event – it can also help us to step back and take stock. We can look at many life experiences and emotions and take time to connect with what we really need, want or what brings us happiness. I believe in the power of human connection to help us find our way, whatever the barriers may be.
There are as many different types of therapy as there are people in the world; every therapist will practice differently. My work is deeply rooted in the person centred approach. I have a postgraduate diploma in counselling and psychotherapy from the University of Cumbria and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
